OTI designs and manufactures Truss Covers. These cover designs have been available for more than 70 years. Truss covers are slowly being replaced with the Spherical Shell Membrane designed covers because the Truss Covers are more expensive to manufacture and install, the truss design is more difficult to comply with the increasingly higher operating pressures design engineers have specified in recent history, they are typically more difficult to maintain, and typically have shorter service life.
However, there are occasions where truss designs may be preferred by clients for uniformity of cover design at a plant having existing truss covers still in active service. For these reasons, OTI offers Truss Covers in floating, gasholder and fixed cover arrangements.
